Cyan Ideas - Clean, Accessible, Individual
My name is Chris Newman, and I design clean, simple websites. The most important task for a site is to keep the public reading. If a site is cluttered, hard to navigate, or overloaded with gimmicks, then the average person will go look for an easier site. With that in mind, I aim to produce clean, easy to navigate, accessible, compliant web pages.
Accessible?
Accessibility is a growing concern for website developers. If you want your site to be available to as many people as possible, then you need to take into account that not everyone's going to be using the latest version of Internet Explorer. A potential visitor to your site may be using one of a number of different makes of browser; they may be using older versions, not be able to view images, or even have the page read back to them by screen reader. Using recognized web standards, I endeavour to make a client's site available to as many people as possible, however they choose to visit.
Individual?
Lets face it, you want your website to be unique, and so do I. That's why, where possible, I create every site from scratch, designed around your needs. This means I can build your site to look the way you want. You are unique, and so your website should also be unique. It is, after all, your public face on the web.
